The econo lodge is the best hotel for the money in waterville area. No pool or breakfast but good cable and friendly staff as we as good location near fast food or restaurant dining. Bus station is right down the road as well as airport and enterprise.
Place is not clean. First room given had window that would not close, a safety concern. Towels were threadbare, no hot water. General decore was very old and unkempt.
I needed somewhere to reside for approximately a month until my, new apartment was ready. I was charged $300 a week while the guest next door was charged $280. Also, if you love AIDS or crack this place is for you. Dirty needles on the ground also hallways consistently reek like marijuana. Hookers paradise.
Where do I begin? Nasty, crackheads, dirty rooms, bedbugs, and notices posted to be careful for insecticides inside the building - bedbugs.... Comp breakfast is a joke- dollar store Cheerios and OJ.
STAY AWAY!!!! This place was so disgusting... So so dirty!! Bugs and dirt in EVERY corner, all plug face plates were filthy, toilet dirty, shower unbelievable.... Could not think about standing in there. I was forced to take a "bath" out of the sink. We would of left but we were told we couldn't get our money back unless we call the corporate office so we moved to three differant room...yuck!!! Of course, no one was in at 9pm at corporate and my husband was out of hours to drive. This place by far was the worst place I have ever stayed!!! Stay clear...
I truly did not even want to give any stars but I had to put at least one to review.. the worst hotel I ever went to. My husband and I was in town from ny for close friend baby shower and it got late..search on the Internet for a room it said Econo lodge and because we have been to an Econo lodge in ny we thought it was ok didn't get a chance to read reviews...the room smelled so bad , dirty carpet the comforter was dingy, bugs under the pillow, bathtub was hell, red spots on carpet and furniture that looked like blood, no batteries for remote to an old TV, lights kept going out..I said hell no I went back to the front desk and told them I was not staying and want my money back ..well the guy working that night didn't argue he said ok and then said someone cancelled their room reservation if I wanted to see if said ok in what was supposed to be the better building the only thing better was the smell of the room but everything else was the same hallways looked crazy...dem place deh ah crosses....the whole place feels demonic....do not waste time stopping there keep it moving and pray passing there...smdh!!!!!
Financial wise, I paid an additional week and wanted to leave due to all these issues and they refused to give me back my cash. And I saved the beat for last, found a needle underneath my mattress and went to the front desk . I WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO... Also cockroach is bathroom, I have a more explicit video.
